You’re not alone if you’ve ever started a stretching routine only to quit a week later out of boredom. While doing flexibility exercises consistently can help reduce stiffness, improve mobility, and decrease injury risk, there's no denying it can feel like a chore. The good news? Flexibility training doesn't have to be boring. This article will cover how the best flexibility apps can help you stick to a daily stretching routine by making it more enjoyable and less monotonous. From personalized routines to guided videos and built-in progress trackers, these apps help you reach your flexibility goals quickly.
Pliability's mobility app improves mobility for athletes and active individuals. It offers various routines designed to improve flexibility and reduce stiffness, helping users perform better and recover faster.
What Features Should You Look for in a Flexibility App?

Most people don't stretch nearly enough. I often struggle to set aside the time. Another common issue is not knowing what your body needs to alleviate a particular ache. From reducing the risk of injury after exercise to making daily movement more straightforward on the joints, flexibility training, aka stretching, can offer endless benefits if you can settle into a good routine.
Just like the best workout apps can help you figure out what exercise works for you and the best yoga and Pilates apps lead you on the mat, the best stretching apps can support you in building a stretching habit from scratch. Still, with many flexibility apps available today, finding the right one can be overwhelming. You deserve a flexibility app that suits your needs and helps you achieve your goals. Here are the essential features to look for when selecting a flexibility app.
Easy to Use: Because Who Has Time to Figure Out Complicated Technology?
A visually appealing app with well-designed illustrations or videos can help you follow along and understand each stretch.
Customization and Personalization: No Two Bodies Are Alike
Everyone is unique, and your stretching routine should be tailored to your needs and goals. A good flexibility app should allow you to customize your stretching sessions based on your:
- Fitness level
- Time constraints
- Areas of focus
Look for apps that offer flexibility in creating personalized routines.
Progress Tracking and Reminders: Out of Sight, Out of Mind
Staying consistent with your stretching routine is crucial for progress. A quality app to improve flexibility will provide features to track your progress, such as recording completed sessions and measuring improvements in flexibility.
Built-in reminders can help you establish a regular stretching habit by sending notifications at designated times.
Additional Resources: Go Beyond the Basic Stretches
An excellent flexibility app goes beyond the basic stretches. Look for flexibility or stretching apps that provide additional resources, such as:
- Educational articles
- Tips
- Guidance on proper form
These resources can enhance your understanding of stretching techniques, anatomy, and the benefits of incorporating stretching into your fitness routine.

15 Best Flexibility Apps to Build a Daily Stretching Habit That Sticks

1. Pliability: A Fresh Approach to Flexibility
Pliability offers a fresh take on yoga tailored for performance-oriented individuals and athletes. The app features a vast library of high-quality videos designed to improve:
- Flexibility
- Aid recovery
- Reduce pain
- Enhance range of motion
Designed for athletes (weekend warriors and daily runners), Pliability has a vast library of on-demand stretching videos, and new videos are uploaded daily. Each one focuses on a different movement or goal, so if you love the idea of Bend but want more video-led content, Pliability could be for you.
Why Pliability is Ideal for Strength Training and Mobility: A Focus on Stretching, Mindfulness, and Equipment-Free Routines
It's also relatively similar to Glo–but slightly cheaper and focused on stretching rather than yoga and Pilates. Pliability explores how stretching supports the body and mind, making it one of the best strength training apps. Using it over the past year, I've found it helps improve mobility by encouraging a daily schedule–rather than a habit of dropping in and out.
It also focuses on mindfulness, breathwork, and promoting feelings of calm where other apps don't. Although some sessions require foam rollers, massage balls, or a set of the best resistance bands, there are plenty of equipment-free routines to get started with.
The Ideal App for Pain Relief, Mobility, and Enhancing Flexibility for Better Movement
This app best suits those comfortable with stretching and anyone looking to change their irregular routine. If you're feeling limited by pain or your ability to move, Pliability aims to complement your fitness routine and help you move better.
Sign up today for 7 days absolutely for free on iPhone, iPad, Android, or on our website to improve flexibility, aid recovery, reduce pain, and enhance range of motion with our mobility app.
2. Bend: Build a Flexibility Routine That Fits Your Life
Bend helps you create a stretching routine that fits within your lifestyle, sending you reminders every day at your chosen time with exercises catered to your:
- Your experience (beginner, intermediate or pro)
- Your focus (whether that's an entire body or one specific problem area, like the hips)
- Based on your goals (to increase mobility, reduce stress, and so on)
Bend App: Easy-to-Follow Stretching Routines for Strength, Posture, and Relief from Tech Neck
Along with classic pre- and post-workout stretching sessions, you'll see routines to build your strength and posture for the better. Even office-based stretching routines help ditch tech neck without standing up. Above all, though, my favorite thing about Bend is how easy the routines are to follow.
Each has detailed instructions, an illustrated figure to follow, and a timer to see you through the five, or ten-minute session. However, the sessions lack audio guidance, which could be a deal breaker if you prefer to listen rather than watch.
3. Glo: Live Classes and More
Want to follow along with live stretching and mobility exercises? Glo is the premium app to have. The homepage layout is simple and easy to navigate, so you can opt into the live classes you want to join with the touch of a button on your smartphone.
I've enjoyed having these scheduled into my day rather than opting in and out of an app when I feel like it. Having a place in a class with an instructor, just as you would in ‘real life,’ has offered more accountability. The classes aren’t restricted to your smartphone, either. Unlike many apps on this list, you can stream the classes from a smart television, provided you have a:
- Roku
- Apple TV
- Amazon Firestick
Live Classes, Sleep-Enhancing Routines, and Comprehensive Stretching for All Levels
Along with live classes—made up of 20—to 30-minute flows, each with a different focus—Glo offers collections of stretching routines you can do at any time. My favorite is the Sleep On It collection, featuring breathwork, stretching, and yoga routines to help you get ready for bed and boost your sleep hygiene.
The beginner—and holiday-friendly collections are also among my top picks. Glo is significantly more expensive than other paid apps on this list, at $244.99 per year (about £196.75 at the time of writing). It's a significant investment. If that's within your budget and you want to follow along with live stretching, yoga, and Pilates classes at home, this is my top choice.
4. Down Dog: Yoga Meets Stretching
Down Dog is one of our best yoga apps - for good reason. No two Down Dog routines are the same, which is something I love about the app. There are over 60,000 configurations, and each yoga-based stretching session will be catered to your chosen practice, experience, and pace with your chosen instructor and music genre.
So whether you do yoga every day or you're looking for the best yoga stretches for beginners, you're sorted. What's more, the Boost feature allows you to choose an area of the body that needs a little more attention, and in response, Down Dog creates a practice that ensures this focus is well stretched by the end of your routine.
Down Dog App: A Yoga-Focused Flexibility Routine with Additional Workouts for All Fitness Levels
When I first used this app, I added a 'Boost' of neck stretches, and I loved how it was seamlessly incorporated into the rest of my yoga routine. For yogis who want to improve their mobility and flexibility or those who wish to do a yoga-focused warm-up pre-workout, this 2-in-1 app is all you need. The only downside is you can't access the other Down Dog routines (such as HIIT, barre, or prenatal yoga) via the app.
For each workout type, you need to download the individual apps. While you need to subscribe to Down Dog to get the most out of the app, you can do most of the routines without paying, and it's considerably cheaper than Glo, for example. Within the same subscription, you can access other apps in the Down Dog family, including those offering:
5. Start Stretching: Simple Routine-Based Stretches
If you're not quite ready for equipment-based stretching routines like those featured in Pliability or Glo’s premium offering, try Start Stretching. It’s a must-try for those who want to improve mobility and boost flexibility without complicated routines, new equipment, or a subscription plan. Compared to Bend’s, its format is fundamental, with simple illustrations and app navigation.
Start Stretching App: Ideal for Morning Flexibility Routines with Easy-to-Follow Illustrations
When using it, I was drawn more to this one for morning stretching routines as it's so easy to use and doesn't challenge the eyes too early in the day. Start Stretching features easy-to-do movements with descriptions and graphics to illustrate but no audio.
While I like the graphics, this one might not be for you if you prefer video demos or real people showing you how to do each movement. Try another one of the best stretching apps, like GoWOD, instead. While the app is free to download, it only features nine stretches. The Premium version only offers updates to the illustrations. This makes it feel repetitive after some use, but it's perfect for learning the basics.
6. Stretch Club: Focus on Desk Work
Stretch Club could be one of the best stretching apps if you spend most of your day sitting at a desk. Of all the programs available on the app, of which there are many, the most unique ones focused on realigning posture and issues related to desk work. This is similar to Bend in many ways, but more focus is on here.
Accompanying these desk-based stretching routines were other valuable programs in the same format, such as:
- Full Body
- Sleep
- Expert
- Quick Stretch
- Lengthen
Tailored Stretching Programs for Runners and Targeted Body Areas
There are plenty of stretching sessions for runners. On the homepage, you'll find programs to target specific body areas, such as lower back and hip stretching routines, which is ideal if you want to strengthen a particular area. If you're looking for a stretching app that works as one of the best habit tracker apps, Stretch Club may also be for you.
You can also jump into different stretching programs and create a personalized routine through the app. You’ll need the PRO membership to do this, but it’s well worth it if you want to make stretching a good habit. When you start to build consistency, you’ll be able to see your progress on the weekly and monthly analytics pages.
7. StretchIt: Personalised Programs to Improve Flexibility
To get started with StretchIt, I answered a series of questions based on my experience, mobility, lifestyle, and stretching goals to generate a personalized program. This was my favorite thing about this app, which isn't offered by many of the others on our list, making StretchIt one of the best health apps to try as well. This could be the app for you if you have particular stretching needs, such as pain relief.
Thanks to the seven-day free trial, you can explore everything StretchIt offers and your program before committing to a subscription. It's worth noting that you must input your contact details and payment information even when signing up. I liked that I could track my stretching workouts and progress in the app, much like Stretch Club, and even upload progress photos as I took on different challenges.
StretchIt: Instructor-Led Stretching for Beginners and Targeted Support
Having an instructor talk through each move kept me on track. In addition to accessing my personalized program, I appreciated that I could watch other sessions, for example, when my shoulders felt tense and needed extra support.
The only downside for me was that there weren't as many classes available to watch on StretchIt as there are with some other apps on our list. But, that being said, if you're new to stretching or currently doing yoga for beginners, this might be all you need.
8. GoWOD: Mobility Focused for CrossFit Athletes
CrossFit athletes and health experts designed GoWOD to help people maximize their mobility before and after sessions. As such, you can take mobility tests and access more than 240 stretching videos for free. It's accessible to anyone working out regularly, not just CrossFit athletes.
This app focuses on long-term goals with an overview of your data, so you can track your stats and progress as you go, much like Stretch Club. Three types of personalized programs are on offer, including:
- Daily WOD
- Pre-WOD
- Post-WOD
GoWOD: Personalized Mobility Programs for Gym and Home Stretching
You can tailor the routines depending on whether you’re stretching in the gym or at home. If you're not a CrossFit athlete, knowing that ‘WOD’ stands for Workout Of The Day while using this app may be helpful. This is a brilliant app for free stretching routines led by expert coaches.
Suppose you can take it up a notch after exploring the free programs. In that case, GoWOD Premium will grant you access to a complete mobility program tailored to you, considering your lifestyle, training needs, training prep, and recovery.
9. Fiit: Well-Rounded Fitness App with Stretching Routines
Fiit is one of the top workout apps with its professionally produced classes and range of celebrity trainers. It also offers stretching routines for those interested in paying for a premium app and getting state-of-the-art features.
It's similar to Glo in many ways, but slightly cheaper and more focused on fitness than yoga and Pilates. Signing up for this app will cost you upward of £7.99 per month for the Essential package, or Unlimited starts at £19.99. With this cost comes an almost limitless number of classes, including everything from classic strength training workouts to be done at home to treadmill workouts you can take into the gym with you.
Fiit: A Multi-Functional App for Yoga, Pilates, and Stretching Workouts
Yoga, Metcon workouts, and Pilates are heavily featured. Within the stretching categories, you'll find practices designed for a pre-or post-workout flow, such as:
- Yoga for runners
- Mobility drills
- Full-body stretches
- Functional movement patterns
While Fiit is undoubtedly the go-to home workout app, try one of the best stretching apps to stretch and get flexible. The cost of Fiit, plus the almost limitless number of classes available, is much better suited to those who want a multi-functional app that offers a bit of everything from the comfort of your living room.
10. Stretch & Flexibility at Home: Learn the Basics of Stretching
If you want to learn the stretching basics, I’d recommend the Stretch & Flexibility at Home app. The app provides voice and video guidance for all stretches, which helps you learn how to stretch specific muscles. (Though, honestly, the audio instructions are a bit creepy because the voice is computer-generated.)
Personalized Stretching Routines for Targeted Flexibility and Recovery
Another great feature of this stretching app is that there are specific routines based on your needs. For example, you can choose:
- Warm-up stretches
- Stretches to improve flexibility
- Stretches to help you relax before bed
- Stretches for particular muscle groups that feel tight
This customization is a nice feature for anyone who wants to get down to the exact stretches they have the time and need without much filler. For instance, as a runner, I particularly liked that stretching workouts are designed to cool down after a run or loosen tight muscles.
11. YOGABODY: Holistic Approach to Flexibility Training
YOGABODY offers a holistic approach to flexibility training. This app combines yoga, stretching, and mobility exercises to create well-rounded routines that improve flexibility and overall wellness.
YOGABODY is accessible to all levels and focuses on safe and effective techniques. One thing I find particularly valuable is the app's educational content—it’s an excellent resource for those who want to learn more about the science behind stretching and flexibility. The user-friendly design and comprehensive approach make YOGABODY a top pick for 2025.
12. Alo Moves: Comprehensive App for Stretching and Mobility Work
Alo Moves app is an excellent choice for stretching and mobility work. Alo Moves offers options for restorative yoga and stretching, which are great ways to unwind from the day or recover from a workout. Oh, and speaking of workouts?
Alo Moves is also a full-service workout app containing thousands of fitness classes, ranging from HIIT to core, mindfulness, and meditation offerings. We love that you can filter by class length, so whether you have 15 minutes or want a more extended class, you can find an option that fits.
13. Peloton: Popular App for Flexibility and Mobility Work
Peloton might be best known for cycling workouts, but it offers many other modalities, including strength and stretching routines. Its flexibility and mobility work come in ranges of intensity that can support beginners up to advanced exercisers, Morgan Rees, a personal trainer at MorganReesFit, explains.
You can filter classes by time, from 5 minutes up to 20, level, instructor, and even type of music, making sure there’s always one that fits your schedule. In addition, aside from stretching classes, Peloton also offers yoga classes for even more mobility work. These classes go up to 75 minutes if you want to devote a solid block of time to flexibility and mobility.
14. Splits Training in 30 Days: Targeted Flexibility Training App
If you are looking for a flexibility training program in an app, Splits Training might be what you are looking for. It makes things that seem impossible more doable and more manageable. As its name suggests, this app helps you nail splits by practicing daily and step-by-step.
Achieve Your Split Goals with Customizable Training Levels and Injury Prevention
While splits make you look cool, they help:
- Prevent various injuries
- Increase muscle strength
- Improve blood circulation
- Relieve muscle stiffness
The app will remind you to do your routines for 10 minutes each day. It also comes with 30-day split training—the app promises to nail your splits after consistent practice within 30 days.
Sounds good. The best part of Splits Training is that you can choose the level:
- Beginners
- Intermediate
- Advanced
You can enjoy its step-by-step instructions for free within seven days. After that, you must pay an annual subscription of around USD 20. Even though this app is specifically designed for splits, you should try it.
15. SworKit: Customize Your Stretching Routine
If you struggle with time restraints but still need to exercise, SworKit is what you seek. Its feature allows you to decide the stretching duration. Other features you would love from this app include Customizable plans.
SworKit: Personalize Your Stretching Routine with Music, Tutorials, and Flexible Goal-Tracking
Ability to set the duration depending on your needs in the first place. Comes with music. Tutorial videos are easy to follow, while verbal cues are communicative. As one of the best stretching apps for mobility, SworKit has lots of positive reviews online.
It allows you to target various specific foals, including:
- Foam rolling
- Yoga
- Rehabilitation-focused movement
- General stretching, etc.
Another interesting thing about this app is that you can enjoy its 28-day flexibility challenge to keep on track. Set the built-in reminder, and you will be notified when it is time to practice.
