‍Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a healthy environment. But, to raise healthy children, we need healthy communities. The Keala Foundation is home to multiple facilities that provide a diversity of empowering and engaging program opportunities for children, adults, and families. All programs are entirely free for kids. Every child deserves to grow up in a healthy environment, to belong, and to know they are loved. The first program began in 2013, created by Aaron Hoff. Aaron has experienced first hand and knows well the challenges that young kids are faced with on the island. Drug and alcohol abuse is a major problem, particularly with the youth. Aaron has been clean and sober for 20 years now and has dedicated his life to giving kids a better choice and support them through the most formative and critical years of their life.

We believe that the solution to substance abuse begins with healthy relationships. Through the community, we can equip people with the tools to be successful and overcome any challenge. Whether our focus is prevention or rehabilitation, our tactics are the same; create community, provide resources, and maintain relationships.‍‍
