CrossFit Krypton's Compete For A Cure is an annual competition held in Chesapeake, Virginia. All proceeds go to Benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay.
Family supporting families.
Originally to raise money for the local St Jude Dream Home, the event was founded by the Smith Family + Adam Klink, and supported by Ben Smith and #teamromwod Athlete Alec Smith. The event raised over $14,000 that first year - held in an automobile showroom. Since then, they have raised just over $237,000 - all directly funding St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, hosting over one thousand spectators annually.
